August 7, 2021(1 event) – Kagan Professional Development in Korea is offering 2 LIVE ONLINE workshops during the month of August! They have taken their teacher training to the next level by now providing it online for participants to be a part of no matter where they are or what type of device they are using. All you need is an internet connection and a digital device (computer, laptop, tablet, or phone). You can be a part of this workshop at home, in your office, at your desk in your classroom, in a coffee shop - anywhere that has a stable internet connection.
The Kagan Cooperative Learning teacher training focuses on how to motivate and reach your most reluctant learners as well as enhance achievement for all learners with research-proven, brain-friendly, instructional strategies! Both Secondary and elementary teachers will increase engagement, boost test scores, and reduce the achievement gap by using the teaching strategies in this workshop. Learn how to build powerful learning teams in your classroom and use proven Kagan methods for team formation, classroom management, thinking skills, presentation skills, and decision making. You will also learn about Teambuilding, Classbuilding, communication skills, and social skill strategies to provide social-emotional learning while delivering academic content. Teachers can use what they learn the very first day after this workshop and report the strategies to immediately transform their teaching and accelerate student learning.
The workshop also trains teachers on how to use the strategies they are learning with both online education and in-class social distancing. It's tough figuring out how to keep students engaged when they're sitting on a computer or when they're 6 feet from each other in the classroom. This workshop helps you know how to keep your students engaged in these situations as well. You get the training and you learn how to use it in your situation. It's a win-win!
Definitely join the workshop to fill your toolbox with easy-to-use, full-engagement strategies for online learning or social distancing that you can put to use immediately in your classroom to increase student engagement and achievement! There are 2 workshop dates being offered: August 7 & 8 and August 21 & 22. This workshop will change everything in the classroom for the students. Registration ends August 4th - There are only 100 spots available for each set of dates. Register early to get into the course you want |

September 4, 2021(1 event) – As our learning spaces continue to evolve into more equitable and inclusive ones, it's imperative that we keep adding to our best practice toolkits. Translanguaging is an essential tool in our repertoire. Our learners are eager to engage in culturally responsive classrooms and content, and creating those spaces that value their multilingual identities is imperative. Join me for a weekend of building a translanguaging toolkit that will serve as the foundation for valuing multilingualism and nurturing a culture of equity in your school.
The purpose of this session is to provide a translanguaging toolkit for not just EAL teachers, but ALL teachers, leaders and coaches who work and design learning experiences for multilingual learners in international schools. |
