International Youth Leadership Conference

2020 International Youth Leadership Conference – March 7, 2020

The International Youth Leadership Conference will bring together youth leaders from international and local schools around Korea for an intensive day of leadership training and community service. This year the conference will be held on March 7th from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Chadwick International, and this year’s theme is: Driven by Purpose: Making Room for the Unimaginable.

This conference will bring together over 200 young people to work on developing their leadership skills, and to encourage them to bring back the ideals of community service to their respective communities. The lessons, speeches, and workshops in which the students will participate will all focus on this year’s themeThe keynote speakers will share with the students their experiences as leaders and about their involvement in working to improve the issues facing their communities.

We are now in search of dynamic students who are risk-takers, and ready to share with the audience their experiences and/or knowledge on a topic related to this year’s theme: Driven by Purpose: Making Room for the Unimaginable

Each presentation should follow a TEDx format of 18-20 minutes.

Students will be participating in various workshops and presentations designed to develop their leadership and public speaking skills. Our desire is for all conference participants to leave this event empowered with the necessary tools to improve their active contribution to their schools and community at large.

Students can apply for a 18-20 minute presentation by submitting the following application form: Call for Presenters. The deadline for submission is Feb 3, 2020.

Each presenter must complete and submit the above Call for Presenters Form along with the required Information. Please keep in mind that only presenters who have submitted the Call for Presenters Form, and have had their proposals reviewed by the IYLC Planning Committee will be considered. All presentations must be consistent with this year’s conference theme.

Note: All workshop proposals will be read and reviewed by the IYLC Planning Committee. Selections will be made by Feb 7th, 2020, and information regarding the status of applications will be sent to all school reps. Additional presenters can be added after the deadline, if space is available.  All applications accepted by the IYLC Planning Committee will receive an email at that time.
