International Youth Leadership Conference

During the 27th annual KORCOS International Education Conference at Chadwick International, a new sub-conference International Youth Leadership Conference (IYLC) was introduced.  The guiding principles were to bring student leaders from KORCOS member schools together to develop leadership skills, become inspired to take action and to take what they have learned back to their schools in order to contribute positively to their communities.

KORCOS has continued to support the IYLC as part of its ongoing mission to promote the development of student leaders. It is designed to place youth leaders in charge of significant portions of the creation of the conference. Under the supervision of adult staff, the students are placed in positions where they will actively serve as leaders for the conference.   The IYLC believes that students should be taught and developed by being placed in positions of significant leadership where they will grow and develop using the skills applicable to life.

The 34th annual conference on May 25th, 2019 at Chadwick International School , we will welcome  Elijah Christopher DeVaughn,  founder and CEO of EJaay Talks, a lecture series conducted in Compton high schools to inspire youth. A full bio on Elijah (a.k.a Ejayy) can be found here. If you are interested in building an opportunity for youth leadership please contact the KORCOS President for more information.
